3. Content security policy (CSP): A CSP allows website owners to define a set of trusted sources for scripts, stylesheets, and other resources. This prevents attackers from injecting untrusted code into a website.
4. HTTPS: Use HTTPS to encrypt data between the server and the user’s browser, making it harder for attackers to intercept and modify requests or responses.
5. Regular updates: Keep all web applications and software up-to-date with the latest security patches, as vulnerabilities are regularly discovered and exploited by attackers.
6. Browser extensions: Use browser extensions, such as Noscript or uBlock Origin, to block scripts and other potentially malicious content from unknown sources.
By implementing these preventive measures, it is possible to reduce the risk of a successful XSS attack and protect user data from being compromised.
